What is required to buy a puppy?First of all, I ask that anybody who takes a puppy have a reputable veterinarian already in place. I may ask you to show me at least a business card, proving that you’ve spoken to a vet and have him or her on board. People who’ve had dogs before usually have their vet already, but new dog owners have to find one you trust before I’ll let you take the puppy home.If possible, I want your to come to visit the puppies at two weeks of age, but if this is their first dog, I also insist that you go to a dog show and spend some time around the quality grown dogs. The pet quality dogs some people sell aren't the same animals that the show breeders raise. They have to be as much in love with the adult dog as they are with the puppy, because I want my dogs to have a home for life. You have to have time to invest in their mental and physical health. And you have to have money, of course. Boston Terrier FAQs . . . |
